Description: Bcl6 is a proto-oncogene that encodes Kruppel type Zinc finger protein of 95 kDa and is believed to be important in germinal center formation. Bcl6 is mainly expressed in normal germinal center B cells, follicle center cells and related lymphomas. Bcl-6 has also been detected in Burkitt’s lymphoma and in nodular, lymphocyte predominant Hodgkin’s disease. Bcl-6 is not expressed in hairy cell leukemia, mantle cell and marginal-zone derived lymphomas.
