The glass staining jar comes with lid. Vertical spacers will hold 8 standard 75x25x1 mm microscope slides or 16 back-to-back. Designed in a square shape with narrow body to conserve space and staining solution. The wide top for easier placement and removal of slides and eliminates the need of forceps in handling of slides. Stands about 4" tall, and is 2-1/4" x 2-1/4" at the top. It only requires about 50ml of solution and can be used for routine H&E staining, special staining and IHC counterstaining.
