Made of high quality stainless steel, the rack is resistant to most staining solutions. We have improved our rack design - the handle is permanently attached, but hinged to permit closure of dish and easy insertion and removal of the microscope slides. The rack has an open bottom for rapid immersing and draining of stain, eliminating any carryover. Slotted rack holds 30 regular sized microscope slides (3x1" or 75x25mm) on each side with total capacity of 60 slides. This rack fits our DuraGlax Slide Staining Dish (IW-2560D) and is suitable for H&E staining, special staining and IHC counterstaining. Do not use this rack for silver staining due to chemical interaction between steel and silver.
