Kidney VEGF IHC
« on: October 16, 2006, 04:33:30 AM »
I am trying IHC of Rabbit Kidney VEGF expression using primary antiboty (ab-3, oncogene), fellowing DAKO Envision+System.

I want to know which I should use, 10mM citrate buffer (pH 6.0) or 1mM EDTA (ph 8.0) for antigen retrieval.

Thanks in advance

Dr. Liu

Greetings Dr Liu,

if this is a commercially prepared antibody, the recommended protocol should be in the data sheet which came with it.

However, sometimes you will need to try different procedures if the original does not perform correctly. This is why there are disclaimers in the data sheets stating that each lab will need to find their best protocol.
