immunofluorescence

Can immunofluorescence be done after H&E staining? If yes could anybody provide me with protocols?

Maybe. It depends on your antibody. You will need to remove the coverslip, go back to water,  and remove the H&E stain with 1% acid alcohol.

For eosin y the autofluorescence will be too much for IF. I do not know if there are some other eosin's on the market that autofluorescence is less but the eosin y is a no can do. To remove the coverslip just submerge the slide in xylene and follow excaliburs suggestion. The coverslip may be a pain to get off.
