Need to stain brain for stroke volume

I am practicing strokes and typically would use a 2% TTC stain to find out the size of the infarct on fresh tissue, but one of my mice died before the survival time point over the weekend and I had to fix the tissue in 4% PFA to preserve it. What other method can I use to stain this now-fixed tissue?
