Title: Complement C3 - positive control tissue
Post by: kmg47 on January 08, 2008, 11:51:00 AM
Hello all,

I am trying to work out an IHC protocol for complement C3 in formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue, but would like to start out using a positive control tissue to work out the antigen retrieval conditions before moving to my experimental tissue.  Can anyone recommend a good positive control tissue for C3?  I know that the liver is a main site of complement production, but am unsure whether most is secreted or if an appreciable amount of protein is still visualized in the tissue.

Thank you!
