Title: do perm steps wash away extracellular collagen?
Post by: NLi on May 18, 2011, 02:44:21 PM
Hi,

I'm doing icc staining on intracellular collagen I in human fibroblast cell cultures. I used 0.5% PBST (x 15 mins) to permealize the cells.

If there're extracellular collagen on the cell surface, do anyone know if this concentration of PBST will disrupt the extracellular collagen resulting in it being washed away?

Thanks for any advise.
