Title: Anti-Myosin heavy chain antibodies
Post by: Sindy on October 22, 2012, 01:57:43 AM
Hello everyone,
I am not sure if I am in the right section ..but I am hoping to see if anyone can help me. I am looking for antibodies against Myosin heavy chain types Myosin I, IIA, IIB and IIX and foetal myosin for Western blot application. I have so far looked at antibodies from sigma/ milipore as well as abcam. They do not have specific ones against the isoforms, but have anti-fast and slow. I have read a few publications which uses home prep antibodies, and these isoforms can easily be distinguisable based on MW? I am not very familiar with MHCs detections, but I can use one antibody to detect fast and one for slow, but based on MW differentiate the isoforms..

I am working on mouse, so would prefer rabbit polyclonals but mouse monoclonal will do just fine as well ..
