We are thinkig about to by a autostainer fro IHC and ISH, does anyone has any suggestion wich one is the best?

I have used both Ventana and Dako. The Ventana, IMHO, is easier to use once setup, but the kits are expensive. The Dako takes more setup time per run, but is a more open system.

Unless you are a clincal lab with a high volume and insurance or some other health care dollars coming in, an automated system may not be cost effective for a research lab. The detection kits alone can add $10-15 per slide, not counting the antibody or the original cost of the machine itself.

If you do decide to purchase, this is a very competative sales area and I would play one company against the other to get the best deal and most freebies.  :twisted: Consider the rental packages too.
