Elastin staining
« on: February 21, 2006, 11:05:19 PM »
Hi

I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on IHC for murine elastin. I need to do a double stain for elastin and then a different cell marker...so I'm thinking immunofluorescence might be the way to go.

Has anyone used an antibody to murine elastin for this?

Thanks

I have used this protocol to stain human tissue, not sure if it will work on mouse tissue

Why not do a plain ol' Verhoeff / Van Geison for the elastin without the Van Geison counterstain and then do your second marker?
