Ductless fume hood
« on: November 09, 2007, 09:32:40 AM »
Can anyone recommend a benchtop ductless fume hood?  We are looking for a hood to hold staining jars of xylenes, and to mount slides using xylenes-based media.

Is activated charcoal sufficient for xylenes?

Thank you.

Yes, activated charcoal fume hoods work fine for xylene.

Many companies have benchtop coverslipping hoods, ie. Labconco, Fumeguard, Shandon, etc.
