Gene knockdown in bacteria

(1/1)

imani_a:
Hi Everbody
my question about How can I insert SiRNA in gram negative bacteria?
In Eukaryote cell by transfectamin is possible but in prokaryote cell(bacteria) is impossible
please let me methods os insertion SiRNA in bacteria

ImmunoNYC:
So not my forte but would regular transformation work?

ImmunoNYC:
I know nothing about bacteria but are the mechanics of RNAi conserved in bacteria? Have you looked in literature, someone must have done what you are trying to do?

MMaggie:
Tracking the source of this article might be of help to you. It discuses how pro-siRNAs—short for prokaryotic siRNAs are introduced into Bacteria.
