I am using ALD-58 in IHC to detect slow-tonic skeletal muscle fibers in sections of amphibian muscles. Is it possible to do this with formalin-fixed, alcohol preserved museum specimens using retrieval techniques? Any feedback would be great because I am fairly new to IHC and its uses.
