IHC of matrix proteins?
« on: May 27, 2003, 12:20:27 PM »
Ello Everyone,

I have tried trypsin for IHC with fairly good results with collagen I, Elastin, Fibronectin and Vitronectin.

I am wondering if, say Trypsin is good for exposing some ECM proteins while Pepsin, Papain or others is good for exposing other Extracellular matrix proteins. Does anyone use protease digestion for IHC of matrix proteins and which is their favourite enzyme.

Alternatively does anyone prefer heat induced antigenic retrieval?

Any immunohisto folklore with regard to matrix proteins would be brilliant, in fact!

Yours Hopefully!

Gail
