WB Loading Cotrols for serum or plasma samples
« on: August 09, 2010, 10:50:36 AM »
::)This is funny but real question:

We are investgating some serum/plasma proteins by Western blotting (ELISA not working). We loaded the same amount of serum/plasma on gel, but we were asked to have loading controls.  I really don't know which one is the best one for serum, so I contact many antibody companies about this, but they all suggested me using Albumin. however I have some samples which they may come from patients with renal disease.what should we do?

Which proteins are relatively constant in serum or plasma and good for loding controls?
