Hi! Does anyone know if the anti-ubiquitin antibody from dako (z0458) recognizes specifically mono- versus poly-ubiquitin? Thanks!

Not sure if you ever got an answer, but on western blots run with purified K48 and K63 chains from Boston Biochem, the Dako antibody recognized both, although K63 to a larger extent. The typical mAb1510 (Ubi-1) antibody does not recognize K48 chains. If you are looking for polyubiquitin-specific antibodies, Millipore just came out with some that are specific to K-48 and K-63-linked polyubiquitin. They are anti-rabbit. 1:200 for IF on parafin sections, antibody retrieval with 10mM Citrate buffer, pH6 + 0.05% tween
