Double immunofluo system requirement
« on: August 06, 2003, 08:12:10 AM »
:)
Hi! We build a new unit for double immunofluorescence studies on routine paraffin emdeded sections, to check co-localisation of markers. We will have a Olympus BX61 microscope with automated filterwheel. The fluo we want to use in the first times will be FITC, Texas Red and Dapi for counterstain.
Can you give us  advice about the precise filter system we need, including type of emission filters, dichroic mirror (one or several?) excitation filters.
For paraffin sections do we need vivid filters or standard?
Sorry if the questions look stupid but we are new in the field...
Many thanks for everyone who can help.
Phil
