JOB TITLE: Specialist Registrar
DEPARTMENT: Histopathology
Location:  South London

SELECTION CRITERIA:
All suitably qualified applicants will be granted an interview
Education/Qualifications   How measured (application form, interview, test, presentation, references, occupational health)
Essential
   Eligible for registration with the GMC
   MB BS (or equivalent)
   Part 1 FRCPath
Desirable
   BSc (or other intercalated degree), MSc
   MRCP, MRCS, MRCOG or other appropriate postgraduate qualifications
   Research MD, PhD   





Experience   
Essential
   Extensive substantive experience in Histopathology, covering all aspects of the College curriculum
Desirable
   Additional experience in clinical medicine   



Skills/Abilities/Knowledge   
Essential
   Specific clinical  procedures – see Section F of application form
   Clear, logical thinking showing an analytical/scientific approach
   Understanding of clinical risk management
   Competent to work without direct supervision where appropriate
   Good manual dexterity and hand/eye co-ordination
