Eliminating lipid laden cells
« on: October 20, 2003, 03:49:24 PM »
I work primarily with diseased neural tissue, and much of it contains macrophages with filled with lipids (degraded myelin likely).  When I use antibodies, the lipids in these cells both autoflouresce, as well as pick up antibody and make it very difficult to detect true reactivity.  Does anyone know of any pre-treatments that can eliminate lipid antibody staining?
Thank you
