Desmin, Met & VEGF polyclonal from Santa Cruz
« on: June 02, 2004, 04:26:01 PM »
Has anyone figured out how to stain Desmin (sc-7559), Met (sc-161) and/or VEGF (sc-152) on paraffin sections of mouse tissue?

Though Santa Cruz claimed these three are okay for (formalin fixed) paraffin sections, I have never managed to see any signal. Antigen retrieval methods including BD retrievagen A or 10 mM Sodium Citrate, pH 6 in steam cooker for 15min or in combination with trypsin treatment of 60 seconds at 37 centigrade degree. Tech support contacted, a nice guy of no further help did not tell anything more than I have also known.

I have a bunch of blocks already fixed in formalin. No room to play with fixation method now.

Any suggestions? Thanks
