EM for myelin

Hi Barbara and Richard,
I too have the same problem as Barbara.
Barabara, Did the new protocol work for you?
Richard, I want to know, how do you do infiltration of araldite? Do you use araldite:acetone 1:1(30 min), 1:4 (30 min), 1:6(overnight) followed by 3 changes of pure arldite hourly.
I am working on hand trimmed specimens so, I infilterate them longer than vibrotome sections.
Best Regards
Meenakshi

Meenakshi,

I always use 100% propylene oxide for two changes, 15 min each and then 1:1 Epon and Propylene Oxide for overnight. Then transfer sections to pure Epon for another 2 hours and embedding.
