fluorescent ISH
« on: April 03, 2013, 12:35:15 PM »
I'm doing chromogenic ISH with strep-avidin-biotin and want to switch to fluorescent ISH. I came across lots of ready to use kits for  FISH as well as protocols that make all reagents from scratch. What is the best way to proceed? Most of the kits I found are very expensive. What is the normal budget for setting up and doing a FISH assay?

Any suggestions??

Thanks

The cost of a FISH assay ranges from 200$ to 600$. I will always inquire many before making the final decision of which one to buy. About the procedures, you'd better ask professionals so as to get an accurate answer, Creative Biolabs, for instance. They have years of experience in  FISH assyas. You may learn  more at http://www.creative-biolabs.com/fluorescent-in-situ-hybridization-FISH.html. Hope it can be of some help to others who come into this forum and see this post.  :)
