Storage of Dyes
« on: March 04, 2014, 11:55:16 AM »
Hello,

I was just wondering how you guys store your Hemtoxylin, Eosin and Nuclear Fast Red dyes when you store them for re-use in staining. I store mine in reusable fisher glass media bottles with cap, but after a few months of reusing the dyes I've noticed some residues and floating particles. This is probably a good indication of changing out the dyes -- in which case, before pouring in fresh dye, do you clean out the glass bottles first? Or do you just throw it out and use a new one?

Thank you so much for your help and suggestions.

It is better to clean the old bottle or change a new bottle.
