Help needed with antibody for Westerns
« on: August 11, 2014, 03:21:32 PM »
Hi,

I'm a student helping out a PhD student with a project. I am using western blotting to compare the presence of NMDA receptors in rats that have been cross fostered and those that have not. I have been looking for anti-NMDAR2A and anti-NMDAR2B antibodies but all the ones I have looked at on Abcam have been quite poor quality, showing pretty poor specificity.

Would anyone happen to know of any anti-NMDAR2A or anti-NMDAR2B antibodies? Or any companies other than Abcam that may provide these? Any help would be greatly appreciated as I'm quite stumped!  :D

Hi, I have heard that Creative Diagnostics http://www.creative-diagnostics.com/ is pretty good. It's a company that offers antibodies. Maybe you can search on its website to see if it has the products you need.
