Masson trichrome staining problem
« on: October 30, 2014, 04:13:22 PM »
We've been staining paraffin sections from various tissues with Masson trichrome.  Immediately after staining, the aniline blue is very bright; the next day the blue has substantially faded to a blue-grey hue.  Does anyone have any suggestions?  We've considered overdifferentiation in acetic acid or even the mounting medium as possible causes for the fading.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.
