Measurement of retina thickness
« on: January 02, 2015, 06:36:28 PM »
Hi all,

I have been trying to use regular paraffin sections of the eye to determine the mouse retina thickness. However, in many places retina is wavy, or because the sectioning is not completely perpendicular to the retina, measurement of thickness becomes unreliable. What would be a better method to determine retinal thickness? Some say to isolate retina and embed while it is attached to a filter paper. Would that work? any ophthalmology experts ?

thank you very much
