Left brain tissue in paraffin over-night what are the effects, being left in so long?

Thank you.

No bad effect. It is even from advantage, because the "fatty" ingedrients of brain-tissue are penetrated slowly by the reagenses.
In my clinical histolab we do a doubled-timed protocol for brain-tissue in comparison to the normal specimens. Sometimes this is not enough for proper processing and the tissue-blocks sink down in the center and sectioning is very difficult. So we put them again for an additional night in warm paraffin. Next day sectioning is easy.
