Rescuing cryosections on uncharged slides
« on: August 27, 2015, 03:06:53 PM »
We are in the middle of a very large project and discovered that a small subset of our cryosections were inadvertently mounted on uncharged slides, and as a result the sections are coming off during staining.  We tried a post-fix in formalin or Bouinís, but that doesnít seem to be helping.  I still have about 30 of these uncharged slides with sections on them, and I would really prefer to salvage the samples somehow if possible.

Is there any trick for either adhering cryosections to uncharged slides, post-mounting, or is there a way to safely remove and remount them?
Any advice is appreciated.
