« on: January 07, 2005, 03:21:12 AM »
Hello,
i want to learn the difference between distilled water and deionized water. if they are different, which one should be used for IHC (for dilution of PBS, TBS, citrate buffers etc.). And at what pH are they supposed to be?
Thanks

Read the following article and it may help understanding.

I think deionized water is better choice for IHC.

pH of PBS: 7.2-7.4
pH of TBS: 7.4-7.6

Hi

Cirtratebuffer; if you mean for antigen retrieval;
pH 6,0 most common.
