Immunohistochemistry, or
IHC,
refers to the process of detecting proteins
expressed in cells of a tissue section using
antigens/antibodies interaction to visualize
localization of expressed proteins. Immunohistochemical staining is
widely used in pathology labs and basic research to understand the
distribution and localization of biomarkers in different parts of a
tissue. Current IHC detection systems include
Peroxisae-anti-Peroxidase (PAP), the Avidin-Biotin Complex (ABC),
the Biotin-Streptavidin Amplified (B-SA) systems, and the
polymer enzyme system.
IHC World is
now introducing the most innovative and complete
GBI IHC Detection
System which includes the improved
Biotin-Streptavidin amplification system
SPlink and
APlink,
and the most powerful Polymeric amplification system
Polink-1,
Polink-2, and
Polink-2 Plus.
SPlink (Streptavidin-Peroxidase)
and
APlink
(Streptavidin-Alk.
Phosphatase) detection kits are supplied in ready-to-use format. In
this amplification system, the secondary antibody is conjugated with
Biotin to its maximum extent with high binding affinity. This system
not only demonstrate superior sensitivity with a super clean
background, but it also provides excellent staining stability with a
longer
shelf life (storage period) because of an improved stabilizer
formula. A shorter incubation period (10'/10' minutes for 2nd
Antibody and enzyme conjugate) provides customers with faster
results.

Polink-1
detection system is based on a novel polymeric technology. In this
technology, the second antibody was polymeric conjugated with peroxidase or alkaline-phosphatase by using a synthetic polymer
carrier. This approach increases the number of available enzymes, or
ligands, binding at the antigenic site, thus increasing their
reactivity to chromogen. It is a biotin-free system that eliminates
non-specific binding due to endogenous biotin. It provides higher
sensitivity, detection efficiency, simpler protocol, easier
standardization, and less procedural variability.
|
Polink-2
detection system is the second generation of GBI’s polymer detection
system that uses a proprietary polymer helper and polymeric
HRP-linked or AP-linked secondary antibody conjugates to achieve
higher sensitivity than the Polink-1 system with only one extra
step. It can achieve equivalent immunostaining at a much higher
dilution of primary antibodies than the first generation of polymer
detection (Polink-1) system, especially on difficult-to-work
antibodies. Polink-2
detection
system offers laboratories the advantage of significant higher
amplification of staining intensity yet lower costs resulting from
more dilution of primary antibodies.
|
Polink-2 Plus detection system is ultra sensitive
2-step polymer detection system. The Polink-2 Plus system uses new
conjugation technology and improves upon the existing 2-step polymer
system through staining at 2-4 times stronger without a noticeable
increase in background noise. Additional advantages of Polink-2
Plus
includes: 1. Enhancement of the signal for rabbit primary antibodies
including rabbit monoclonal antibodies; and 2. Detection of single
species is available.

Polink DS double stain series kits use
polymer-enzyme conjugates to detect two antigens simultaneously or
sequentially. It gives faster and easier protocol. Polink DS
system
provides customers with Polymer-HRP/Polymer-AP conjugated anti-mouse,
anti-rabbit, anti-rat, anti-goat with many combination
options to choose from.

Polymer
Detection System for Animal Tissue is
especially designed to solve difficult tasks in research, such as
detecting mouse antibody on mouse tissue, detecting mouse antibody
on rat tissue, and detecting rat antibody on mouse tissue. It
demonstrates high specificity and sensitivity.

|
Polymer
Detection System for Human Tissue is
designed to detect human antibody on human tissue
or primate tissue with
clean background. |

Chromogen Substrates include peroxidase
substrates (DAB, AEC) and alkaline phosphatase substrates (Fast Red,
AP-Red).
Mounting Mediums include
aqueous, organic, permanent, anti-fade fluorescence mounting mediums
for immunohistochemistry. |
