Histopathology Artifacts Quiz
ANSWER CASE 30
This is a tie breaker slide and I found this one quite difficult
myself when I had a sneak preview. In other words I got it wrong. If
you look very closely there is an amorphous substance in the lumen.
This is retained barium after the patient had a barium meal. And if
you looked real closely you will also have seen this oval looking
structure which isn't an ovum of a worm but the seed of a plant. So
the answer is retained barium and a plant seed. You can give
yourself a mark for each part of the answer. One for barium and one
for plant seed.
