Section of malignant melanoma treated with HMB-45 antibody and stained by streptavidin-biotin alkaline phosphatase fast red TR method.

Result: HMB-45 is a melanoma specific antibody that is of great practical use in evaluating anaplastic neoplasms for possible melanocytic differentiation. Sites of HMB-45 activity appear red
