(A) Human adrenal cortex (post mortem): a frozen section of
tissue fixed in buffered formalin, stained with Sudan black
in ethanol-water after bromination and counterstained with
nuclear fast red. (B) A control section of adrenal prepared
and stained as for (A) but without bromination.

Result: Cholesterol, cholesteryl esters and phospholipids -
blue/black in section A but unstained in section B
