DID YOU KNOW 18?

Did you know that adding ethyl alcohol to a solution containing chromic acid and mercuric chloride can cause spontaneous combustion?

But where are all of these solutions used together? I can hear you say.

Zenker - which contains

  • Mercuric chloride

  • Potassium dichromate and

  • Acetic acid

Potassium dichromate and acetic acid make chromic acid.
If you go straight to processing without first washing well in water – Bang.
